Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik to meet PM Modi on June 9
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on June 9, official sources said on Friday.
Both the leaders will meet for the first time after assuming their respective office following the 2019 elections results. While the Chief Minister has assumed his office for the fifth consecutive term, Modi took over as the country’s Prime Minister for a second term.
According to official sources, the two leaders are likely to discuss the reconstruction measures in cyclonic storm ‘Fani’ affected areas in the state and Odisha’s participation in the Centre’s flagship health programme ‘Ayushman Bharat’ among other issues.
The Chief Minister is also scheduled to meet Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan and other Union Ministers during his visit to Delhi, sources added.
