Odisha CM congratulates Revanth Reddy for taking oath as Telangana CM

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated Congress leader Anumula Revanth Reddy for taking oath as the next Chief Minister of Telangana.

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated Congress leader Anumula Revanth Reddy for taking oath as the next Chief Minister of Telangana.

Taking to his X handle, Patnaik extended his best wishes to Reddy and wished that his under leadership, the state would achieve new milestones of development. “Congratulate Shri @revanth_anumula Ji on being sworn in as the Chief Minister of #Telangana. Wish under your leadership, the state achieves new milestones of development. Extend my best wishes,” the Odisha CM said.

Reddy took oath as the Chief Minister of Telangana while senior leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka was sworn in as his deputy. A total of 10 ministers also took oath today. Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan administered the oath of office and secrecy to them at L.B. Stadium at a public event attended by thousands of people.

The swearing-in was attended by AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, K.C. Venugopal, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and other top Congress leaders.

It is to be noted here that the Congress party formed the government after winning 64 seats out of the 119 constituencies of Telangana.
