Odisha: 4 Killed, 3 Critical As Ambulance Collides Head-On With Gas Tanker In Angul

Angul: In a tragic incident, at least four persons were killed and three others sustained critical injuries on Sunday in a road accident on NH-55 near Jharapada in Angul district of Odisha.

As per reports, an ambulance, which was carrying a patient from Burla hospital of Sambalpur to Bhubaneswar, collided head-on with a gas tanker, which was heading towards Sambalpur from Cuttack, near Jharapada bus stand.

The accident killed four persons on the spot while three others sustained critical injuries.

Reportedly, the ambulance driver lost control over the wheels and rammed into the gas tanker. While all the four persons died on the spot, the injured were rushed to the DHH.

The three critical injured persons were rushed to district headquarters hospital and are currently undergoing treatment.
