Naveen Patnaik to attend inter-state council meeting today

New Delhi: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who is on a three-day New Delhi visit, will attend the 12th standing committee meeting of the inter-state council at Vigyan Bhawan here today.

Patnaik is likely to raise many important issues related to Odisha like Mahanadi Tribunal matter, Polavaram project issue, the minimum support price (MSP) of paddy and Maoist activities in the state. He will also give emphasis on the spirit of cooperative federalism.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will chair the inter-state council meeting which will also be attended by six other Chief Ministers.

Patnaik has other official programmes in the national capital as well. He will return to Odisha tomorrow evening.
