Naveen Announces Special Package For Bijepur

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced a special package for Bijepur, his second constituency. Patnaik who was also elected from Hinjili in the recent assembly polls also announced a government ITI and two skill development centres for the assembly constituency.

Officials said that the Chief Minister will review the implementation of the package in every two months.

As per the announcement around 34000 eligible households having kutcha houses will be provided with pucca houses while all the households in the constituency will be provided with pipe water connection.

Patnaik also announced a new mega lift irrigation project at an estimated cost of Rs 48 crore for irrigation of 3000 acres of agriculture land. Similarly infrastructure development such as street lighting, stadium and parks will come up at Barpalli and Bijepur NACs. The cost of the infrastructure project for both the town will be Rs 40 crore each and the work will be completed in two years.

Patnaik also announced a Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Talpadar while adequate doctors will be appointed in the existing health institutions within a week. Four new road projects covering a length of around 80 kilometres and a bridge having a cost of Rs 82 crore will also be sanctioned.
