Keonjhar: As many as 30 passengers of a bus had a narrow escape after the vehicle caught fire near Kanjipani ghati of Keonjhar district on Friday night.
Reportedly, the bus named Prakash J Padhi was en route to Keonjhar from Rourkela.
The bus driver alerted all passengers about the fire at around 3 am due to which all passengers were able to exit the bus safely.
Fortunately, another bus from Keonjhar was available for the passengers. Hence, all of them were able to return to their destination.
On getting the information, Kanjipani Police and the local fire fighters arrived at the spot and doused the flames.
From the preliminary investigation, it has been ascertained that the fire broke out due to a short circuit.
