Bhadrak: Mother-son duo try to set themselves on fire in front of SP office seeking justice. They have been identified as Jyotirani Patra and son Panchanan Patra of Belada village under Bhadrak rural police.
They have a decree from the court in a land dispute case but even then other people are forcibly building houses on the land.
The mother-son have companied about the matter in the police station, the SP and the district magistrate but in despair.
Since they had no other way, they tried to set themselves on fire by pouring kerosene on their body in front of the SP’s office today.
However, a lady constable immediately intervened and prevented them from lighting the matchstick.
The police are looking further into the incident.
