Bhubaneswar: Miscreants allegedly looted gold ornaments from a jewellery shop at gunpoint in the Janla area in the outskirts of Bhubaneswar in Odisha on Wednesday.
The loot incident took place in the Sagarika Jewellery shop in Janla.
Reportedly, the two miscreants arrived at the shop on a red Splendor bike and fired shots while being chased by locals after looting the jewellery shop.
The whole incident of loot has been captured on the CCTV installed outside the shop.
On getting the information, the Jatani police officials along with the forensic team, Zone SP, arrived at the shop and initiated an investigation based on the CCTV footage.
From the preliminary investigation, it has been ascertained that gold jewellery worth Rs 20 lakhs has been looted.
