Dhenkanal: A 20-year-old girl became critical after an unidentified miscreant slit her throat at Vadalia Sahi under Kankadahada police limits in the district last night.
Police said that the motive behind the attack is yet to be ascertained. Police said that the incident took place when the victim had gone outside of her sister’s house to attend the natures‘ call.
“ A miscreant suddenly jumped on her and slit her throat with a sharp weapon. The victim has also sustained injury marks on her hand and wrist,” said a police official.
The victim was immediately rushed to Kamakhyanagar hospital from where she was shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
Police said that they have registered a case and are trying to ascertain the motive behind the crime.
