Baripada: In a shocking incident, a school allegedly set himself on fire today after being scolded by his elder sister for not going to the school at Pasuda village under Khunta police limits in Mayurbhanj district.
The deceased has been identified as Kalidas Marandi a class VIII student. As per reports, Marandi was scolded by his elder sister for not attending the school for which he locked himself in a room.
Later he poured kerosene on him and set himself on fire. He was immediately rushed to the Badasahi Hospital from where he was referred to Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital in Baripada. Marandi died while undergoing treatment.
