Bhubaneswar: Even the sky is crying, so the entire Odisha following the untimely demise of eminent Odia cine actor Mihir Das, who passed away earlier today. People from all ages and walks of life were deeply saddened by Mihir Das’ death, so also the sky as it started raining after the actor’s death.

Mihir Das is a household name when it comes to the Odia entertainment industry or Ollywood. Given the fact of his contribution to the Odia film industry, several eminent personalities from the entertainment sector to politics to sports, everyone including Odisha Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik mourned the death of the veteran actor. Besides, the State government decided to give him state Honour during the funeral.

According to reports, the mortal remains of the Mihir Das, which is now kept at his Cuttack-based house, will be taken to Satichaura at around 8.30 AM and will be laid to rest with full state honours.

The actor was admitted at a private hospital in Cuttack on December 7 for the treatment of kidney-related ailments. He was put on ventilator support after his health condition became critical. However, he breathed his last this evening.
