Berhampur: Goshani Nuagaon resident was arrested on Wednesday on charges of kidnapping and murdering a minor on January 12. The reason for such a dastardly action was a one-sided love affair with the minor’s mother. The minor with his mother stayed at Sadanand Vihar in GoshaniNuagaon.

On pthe retext of dropping the 7-year-old at school, the accused kidnapped him to Taratarini Hills. He, then reportedly smashed his head with a rock in the nearby forest.
The minor’s mother had lodged an FIR with the Police when her son didn’t return home. Prompt action by Police led them to the accused.
The accused was caught on a CCTV camera while kidnapping the minor on his vehicle.
The vehicle, minor’s blood-soaked clothes, and his ID card have been recovered.
Nuagaon Police are still conducting the investigation and more details can be expected.
