Balangir: In a gruesome incident, a man was hacked to death by miscreants near Mahalaxmi Nagar here in Odisha late last night.
The deceased has been identified as Pratap Mahapatra, a resident of Kujang in Jagatsinghpur district. He was working as newspaper distributor in this district headquarter town, police said.
The man was found in a pool of blood by a group of locals early in the morning. On being informed, police seized the body and sent to the District Headquarter Hospital for autopsy test.
Meanwhile, Balangir police detained three persons in this connection and began interrogation to them.
