Jagatsinghpur: A man was killed after the bike he was travelling on got mowed down by an unknown vehicle near Jaishola in Jagatsinghpur district last night.
The deceased has been identified as Niranjan Sahu, a mason by profession and a resident of Tarikunda village.
As per the report, Sahu who had been engaged in a temple construction work at Basantpur area was returning home when the mishap took place. The driver of a speeding vehicle which was running in the same direction hit the victim from behind on Jagatsinghpur-Kandarpur road and mowed down.
Niranjan was rushed to Jagatsinghpur DHH in a 108 ambulance by some onlookers to be declared brought dead there.
