Rourkela: In a major breakthrough, Odisha Police arrested Arjun Rana, the Zonal Commander of People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI). This was informed by Rourkela SP Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo today.
A team of Rourkela Police arrested Rana from Assam and seized a semi-automatic gun, five rounds of live bullets and a magazine from his possession.
According to Rourkela SP, Rana used to make calls to the businessmen of Rourkela and Biramitrapur areas and demand money from them by threatening them. He is an associate of PLFI chief Dinesh Gope.
Apart from this, the accused was a member of a team that operated to fund the PLFI members in the district, said the SP adding that investigation is underway to nab all those who used to help both Arjun and Gope.
