Luxury cruise ship Silver Discoverer anchors at Paradip Port

Paradip: In boost to tourist industry in the state, Monaco based luxury cruise liner Silversea’s ship ‘Silver Discoverer’ carrying at least 64 tourists docked at the Paradip sea port here today.

Upon their arrival, tourists and crew members of the cruise ship were given a grand welcome from the administration and the port authorities.

The visitors who mostly belong to USA, Australia and New Zealand will be taken to ancient Buddhist heritage site at Ratnagiri, Udayagiri and Lalitgiri in Jajpur district as a part of their Asian expedition today in a bus and return in the evening, says reports.

The luxury cruise liner is scheduled to visit other places like Visakhapatnam, Sundarbans, Mahehkhali Island, St. Martin Island of Bangladesh, Nagapali Beach, Rakhine State, Port Yazar in Yangoon, Myanmar.

Notably, since its inception in the early 90s, Silversea Cruises has been recognised as the gold standard in luxury cruising. The cruise liner operates a global portfolio of itineraries covering 900 destinations worldwide.
