In-charge Principal of Kukudakhandi +2 Science Higher Secondary School caught red handed while taking bribe

Berhampur: Vigilance sleuths arrested in-charge Principal of Kukudakhandi +2 Science Higher Secondary School in Odisha’s Ganjam district on charges of demanding and accepting bribe to clear a file  of the complainant on Thursday.

The accused, identified as M.Tuna Patro, had demanded bribe of Rs 15000 from Basant Kumar Jena working as demonstrator in Physics of the same college to forward the GPF bill and to prepare MACP arrears bill.

However, Jena approached the vigilance department seeking action against the official.

Accordingly, the vigilance officials laid a trap to catch the accused red-handed today.

“The bribe money was recovered from the possession of the accused. His both hands wash as well as pant pocket wash gave positive chemical reaction,” said an official.

A case has been registered at Berhampur Vigilance Police Station in this connection. Further investigation is on,” he added.
