Heavy rain to lash 12 districts of Odisha: IMD

Bhubaneswar: As many as 12 districts of Odisha are likely to witness heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours, informed the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here today.

Kandhamal, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Angul, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, and Khurda are the 12 districts that are likely to receive heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours, informed the weatherman.

The department further said that a cyclonic circulation lies over East Jharkhand and adjoining north Odisha. It lies between 1.5 km & 5.8 km above mean sea level tilting southwards with height.
