General elections 2024: Schemes introduced by Odisha Government might be a game changer

In this election, the target of BJD and BJP is to get more than 50 percent votes each. In the last panchayat elections, BJD got 53% votes.

Bhubaneswar: In the upcoming general elections 2024, the target of BJD and BJP is to get 50 percent votes. In the last panchayat elections, BJD got 53 percent votes.

According to reports, there have been eight by-elections in the term. Out of these, BJD got more than 50 percent votes in seven by-elections.

BJD according to experts has three major weapons to win rural votes, that is Education, Health and Transport. In the field of education, under the 5T initiative, a number of high schools have been transformed into model schools.

Along with this in the transport sector, the Lakshmi Bus Scheme has been launched much to the delight of the rural people. These buses help connect remote areas to the district headquarters.

In the field of health, the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojna (BSKY) has been implemented. The Chief Minister has launched BSKY Nabin Card which will help as many as 90 percent of rural population to get health care services.

It is said that these revolutionary changes will help BJD win over the voters in the rural areas of Odisha.
