Berhampur: The Ganjam district administration has issued a few new guidelines for conduct of Durga Puja 2020 amid the Covid pandemic. A few of the guidelines are as follows:
- The height of the Durga idol cannot be more than 4ft, this applies to all the mandaps.
- Public gathering shall not be allowed.
- Social distancing should be followed at all times.
- Maximum of 7 persons can assemble at a given point of time, this includes the priests and others.
- The immersion ceremony shall be done without public gathering.
- Cultural functions shall not be allowed.
- Strict penalty shall be imposed on violators.
