Fines have been imposed for various traffic violations and illegal parking in a two-day special drive on October 7 and October 8.

Bhubaneswar: Fines have been imposed for various traffic violations and illegal parking in a two-day special drive on October 7 and October 8. The move shall be said to be continued in view of the upcoming festive season, said reliable reports. The Commissionerate Police has penalized 220 traffic rule violators for breaking various rules like drunken driving in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.

In order to control the traffic system of Bhubaneswar, on the instructions of the Commissioner of Police of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Soumendra Priyadarshi, enforcement drive was conducted in various areas of Bhubaneswar by Traffic Station 1 and 2.

In this series, fines imposed for various traffic violations in the Bhubaneswar Traffic Police conducted an enforcement drive against the law violators of color route driving, modified silencer, illegal parking, driving under the influence of drugs.

In this drive, a total of 21 motorcycles were seized from those who violated the traffic rules and drove on the color route, and a total of 13 motorcycles were seized from those who violated the law using modified silencers. Similarly, a total of 6 law enforcers who were driving under the influence of drugs have been booked in the nearest police station.

A prosecution report has been filed in court against the users and owners of the seized motorcycles. So the public is requested not to violate the traffic rules and always follow the traffic rules. The drive will continue till the end of the festive season, reports further said.
