Every Odia is proud of you: CM Naveen Patnaik on Dutee Chand’s achievement
Bhubaneswar: Congratulations poured in for ace Indian sprinter Dutee Chand after she bagged the silver medal in Women’s 100m at Asian Games in Jakarta this evening.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also congratulated her saying, “Every Odia is proud of you.”
Patnaik in his twitter handle said, “You have made the nation proud and Odisha could not have been prouder! Best wishes,” tweeted Naveen in his message to Dutee.

Odisha Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal also congratulated the athlete on her success and wished many more laurels upon her in future.
Odisha Olympic Association (OOA) Secretary General M A Alam also congratulates Dutee Chand and announced a cash award of Rs 50,000 for her.
Likewise, the Odisha Athletic Association (OAA) also announced a cash award of Rs 50,000 for Chand.
Dutee won the medal with a timing of 11.32 second and gave India the first medal in 100m race by an Indian female athlete since PT Usha won in 1986.
