Kandhamal: The Phiringia forest department have rescued an endangered species of vulture near Telapali village in Kandhamal district.

According to reports, some locals spotted the rare vulture near the Telapali village and informed the Phiringia forest department Ranger about it. The vulture was not able to fly as it was unwell.

On being informed about the incident, the forest department reached the spot and rescued the vulture and took it to District Veterinary Hospital, Phulbani for preliminary treatment.

The health condition of the vulture is stable.
