Bhubaneswar: The hearing on the narco test of the former Brajarajnagar MLA Anup Sai in connection with four-year-old gruesome double murder of mother-daughter will be held in Raigarh court today.
Yesterday, the Raigarh Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) had allowed Chakradharnagar Police to take Anup Sai and his driver Baraman Toppo on remand.
While Sai will be taken on a three-day remand Toppo will be questioned for one day.
During the hearing at the CJM court yesterday, Anup’s lawyer pleaded against his narco test considering the health condition.
Notably, Sai was in a relationship with the victim woman Kalpana since 2011 but eliminated her in 2016 when she insisted on marriage and demanded a share in his property.
Police are yet to seize the Bolero and Innova used in the murder by the accused duo. A few other people who are also involved in the case are yet to be traced.
