Sambalpur: Kuchinda police today nabbed a woman who was involved in the theft of ornaments worth Rs 8 lakh from the house of her employer in Cyberabad. The accused identified as Surya Sukla, a resident of Kuchinda used to work as domestic help.
Police said that the accused had stolen the ornaments on May 4 while taking advantage of the absence of the family members.
The stolen ornaments included a diamond necklace, two gold bangles, two gold rings and two gold earrings. Later a case was registered with the Chandanagar police station in Cyberabad.
“Basing on the information provided by the Cyberabad police we managed to apprehend the accused. We have also recovered all the stolen ornaments. The accused has been handed over to the Cyberabad police,” said a senior police official.
