Dense fog continues to prevail in Odisha, yellow alert to several places in state for tomorrow

Dense fog continues to prevail in Odisha. Many places in the state, including Bhubaneswar are witnessing dense fog currently.

Bhubaneswar: The severity of winter has decreased in Odisha. However, dense fog continues to prevail in most parts of the state. Weather in the state will remain mainly dry in the coming few days. No significant changes in nighttime temperature is expected. Dense fog will be witnessed in the state till January 11.

In most districts of Odisha, an alert has been issued in view of dense to very dense fog. Many places in the state, including Bhubaneswar are witnessing dense fog currently.

The regional meteorological department has issued a yellow warning to Angul, Dhenkanal, and coastal and southern Odisha in view of fog tomorrow.

In the last 24 hours, some locations in the state have recorded a minimum temperature of two degree Celsius above normal. The lowest temperature was recorded at 7.5 degree Celsius in G Udaygiri of Kandhamal district. Meanwhile, it was 8.3 degree Celsius in Koraput, 9.5 degree Celsius in Daringbadi, and 10 degree Celsius in Phulbani.
