Constant hike in petrol and diesel prices; See rates in major cities today

Bhubaneswar: Petrol and diesel prices have soared to record high levels in major cities of India. The petrol and diesel price in capital city Bhubaneswar have remained constant on Tuesday. The cost of petrol has been recorded at Rs 110.69 per litre while the diesel price has been recorded at Rs 107.39 per litre today. The cost of petrol and the diesel has not changed in the last 24 hours.

Similarly on Monday, the petrol and diesel costs were recorded at Rs 110.67 per litre and Rs 107.39 per litre respectively.

The fuel prices are increasing at an alarming rate which has caused an unbalance in consumers’ daily budget. The middle class families are mainly affected by the constant hike in petrol and diesel price.

On the other hand, some major cities in Odisha has registered petrol price above 110 and the rate of petrol in Malkangiri district has been recorded to be the highest in the state at Rs 116.97 per litre. The other major cities of India have also recorded the petrol price above Rs 100 including Rs 106.66 in Chennai, Rs 110.50 in Kolkata and Rs 115.85 in Mumbai. The diesel price in various cities are recorded at Rs 102.59 in Chennai, Rs 101.56 in Kolkata and in Mumbai the rates are at Rs 106.62.

Meanwhile, the price of petrol in the national capital is recorded at Rs 110.04 per litre (up by 35 Paisa) while the price of diesel is at Rs 98.42 per litre.

The major oil refiners such as Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum revise the fuel rates on a daily basis, by taking into account the crude oil prices in the international markets, and the rupee-dollar exchange rates.
