Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Tuesday granted conditional bail to former BJP MLA from Nuapada Hitesh Bagarti in connection to Naba Diganta Chit Fund Scam.
The court also directed Bagarti to deposit a sum of Rs 2 lakh for the bail.
Bagarti was arrested by CBI in November, 2014 for his alleged involvement with the multi crore chit fund scam.
Naba Diganta Capital Services Ltd, allegedly set up by Bagarti, BJD MP from Mayurbhanj Ramachandra Hansda and ex-BJD MLA from Keonjhar Subarna Nayak, has been accused of duping thousands of investors in the state between 2011 and 2013.
