Body of newborn recovered from canal in Odisha’s Khordha district

Tangi: The dead body of a newborn baby was found floating in the water of a canal in Parinua village under Banapur Police limits in Khordha district of Odisha on Saturday. It is yet to be ascertained, under what condition the kid was killed.

According to reports, on Saturday a few locals of Parinua village had been to the canal to attend natural calls when the spotted the body of a child floating in the canal water.

They immediately informed about it to the Police. Banapur Police reached the spot and fished out body of the toddler from the water with the help of locals.

The reason behind death of the child and how come it reached the Canal water are yet to be ascertained.

In another case of dead body recovery in the State, the body of an unidentified youth was found floating at Kuakhai river-bed in the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Saturday morning.

A few locals spotted the body floating in the river and informed the Balianta police. Reason behind the death of this youth is yet to be ascertained.
