Khallikote: The body of a newborn girl was found dumped under a canal bridge at Bharasamathura village near Khallikote town in Odisha’s Ganjam district today.
The body was spotted by a few locals this morning when they had gone to take bath at the canal. Without wasting time, they immediately informed the police about the matter.
The body has been recovered by the cops. However, the identity of the deceased or her parents is yet to be established.
