Jajpur: Two more prime accused have been arrested for their involvement in the attack on journalists case at Binjharpur in Odisha’s Jajpur district.
According to reports, Police have arrested Sridhar Mallick aka Syria, and Sanjay Malik aka Chagala of Bamdebpur village.
A total of 19 people have been arrested in connection with the attack, added reports.
Notably, three journalists – Debashis Sahoo, Gulshan Ali Nawaz, and Bijay Sahoo – were beaten up while they were covering an alleged incident of booth rigging while the third phase of three-tier rural polls was underway in the Binjharpur area of Jajpur district.
Adding to it, as many as 42 persons have been arrested till now for their involvement in panchayat poll-related violence that occurred at different places of Jajpur district during the last three-phase rural election.
