At 13.2°C, Bhubaneswar shivers in bone chilling cold

The temperature in twin cities Bhubaneswar and Cuttack has witnessed a drastic fall to 13.2 degrees Celsius and 13.5 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Bhubaneswar: The netizens of Odisha shiver in bone-chilling cold as the minimum night temperature continues to drop in the state. The bone-chilling cold wave is sweeping across the state on Sunday as well. The people of the capital city Bhubaneswar shivered in the bone-chilling cold as the temperature dropped below 15 degrees.

As per the Indian Metrological Centre, the mercury has dropped below 10 degrees Celsius in as many as 6 cities. While 23 other places have recorded temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius.

Kirei recorded the lowest temperature of 8.3 degrees Celsius. The cold wave has also brought the onset of fog in the morning.

The temperature in twin cities Bhubaneswar and Cuttack has witnessed a drastic fall to 13.2 degrees Celsius and 13.5 degrees Celsius, respectively.

According to meteorologists, the people of the state will likely get relief from the cold due to the onset of the western disturbance from December 17, 2023. Moreover, some places might receive light to moderate rainfall from December 22 to 24.

The cold along with the fog is affecting normal lives across the state. However, this has not dampened the picnic goers as they set out to various tourist places to enjoy this holiday season.
