7 students expelled for ragging in Khallikote Higher Secondary School, Brahmapur

Brahmapur: Seven students of Khallikote Higher Secondary School in Brahmapur of Ganjam district in Odisha have been expelled after it came to limelight that they had been ragging fellow students.

After an investigatory report by the anti-ragging committee, the principal took the decision. Some students had brought forth the issue before the principal on November 19, 2022.

According to reports, the students had alleged that the senior students of the school used to burst firecrackers within the classroom and cause disruption. After receiving the complaint, the officials had instructed the anti-ragging committee to keep a close eye on the happenings throughout the school and investigate the students named.

The police has also stepped in and said that if the seven students are found loitering near or within the campus then they will take the required action. The information has been provided by the Khallikote Higher Secondary School principal.
