2 students injured in pre-poll violence in Odisha college

Two students critically injured in pre-campus poll violence in BramhagiriPuri: A group clash in Alarnath Vocational College in Bramhagiri of Puri district left two students seriously injured after pre-poll violence erupted on the the college campus on Monday.

The two injured students have been identified as Thakur Surjya Bahadur Mund and Kanhu Charan Baral. Initially, they were rushed to the Rebana Nuagaon Community Health Centre (CHC) for primary treatment, but were later shifted to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) as their condition deteriorated.

Some students staged road blockade in the town following the incident. Police rushed to the spot and managed to bring the situation under control.
