2 siblings hurt in neighbour’s spade attack in Balasore

Balasore: At least two members of a family, identified as siblings, sustained injuries after being attacked by a neighbour following a dispute over road construction work in Kochuapada village in Balasore district last night.

As per the report, a verbal duel erupted between the family of the victim siblings namely, Srikant Rana and Prasant Rana and their neighbour Prasant Behera late in the night. However, things took an ugly turn after the argument escalated further and Behera lost cool and attacked the duo with a spade.

The victim siblings were rushed to Baliapala Community Health Centre (CHC) in a critical condition following the attack.

Getting information local police rushed to the spot and started an investigation to nab the culprit who managed to flee from the village after the attack.
