Puri: At least two college students met watery grave while bathing in Puri sea near Chakratirtha Road last night.
The deceased have been identified as Rajat Pandey (22) of Jamshedpur of Jharkhand State and Mohammad Ibad (22) of Delhi. Both the victims were students of Piloo Mody College of Architecture located in Cuttack.
As per the report, a group of boys and girl of the college reached Puri on a travel yesterday and went to take bath in the sea. However, it is suspected that the deceased duo was swept away by a high tide and drowned subsequently.
The bodies of the deceased were fished out of the sea by fire personnel and lifeguards and handed over to police.
Police have detained at least four friends of the deceased duo for questioning in connection with the case.
