13 places record temperature above 40 degrees Celsius in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As many as 13 places in Odisha recorded temperatures above 40 degrees Celcius, informed the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

According to the reports, Titilagarh recorded a temperature of 44.6 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

As many as five places recorded temperature above 44 degrees Celsius, while in 3 cities the temperature was above 43 degrees Celsius.

The meteorological department added that there will be no significant change in temperature for the next five days.

For the next two days, few places in Balangir, Boudh, Subarnapur and Bargarh districts are likely to experience intense heatwave.

The weather in coastal Odisha has slightly changed as the temperature has dropped to 38 degrees Celsius.

Adding to it, some districts are likely to receive thunderstorms in the next 24 hours and a yellow warning has also been issued.
