12-Hour Bandh Call By Confederation Of All India Traders, Affects Life In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A 12-hour nation wide bandh has been called by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT). The strike is being observed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m with various demands

The major demands are: simplification of GST and government control over e-commerce traders.

The bandh will be observed and protests will be staged in 1,500 locations across the country. The organization has demanded a review of the GST system and simplification of the tax slab.

The Odisha Chamber of Commerce and Industry has backed the All India Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The shutdown will be observed in various cities of the state.

Businesses, shops and markets will be closed. All government offices will remain open. Traffic will be normal. The buses will run added the Private Bus Owners Association.
