WATCH: Fan hugs Virat Kohli, touches his feet during 2nd T20I vs Afghanistan, detained later

The 2nd T20 IND vs AFG took an amusing turn after a fan rushed into the pitch to greet Virat Kohli, who was fielding near the boundary.

Star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli returned to T20I matches after a long break of 14 months. All eyes were on Kohli after he missed India’s first T20 game against Afghanistan due to personal reasons. The match took an amusing turn after a fan rushed into the pitch to greet Virat Kohli, who was fielding near the boundary.

A video of the incident has been going viral on social media. Therein, the man can be seen rushing towards Kohli in full pace. While Kohli extended his hand for a friendly shake, it seems that the fan had other wishes. He sprinted towards the player and touched his feet, before pulling him into a big bear hug.

Couple of seconds later, security officials rushed to the spot and forcibly pulled him out of the ground. Take a look at the video of the fan hugging Virat Kohli here:


Reports from officials state that the man was later detained and taken to the police station in Tukoganj. Initial probe tells us that the man had an entry ticket for the India vs Afghanistan match on Sunday. Further, officials are questioning him to confirm more details.

In other news, the Rohit Sharma led Indian cricket team defeated the Zadran led Afghanistan by six wickets. The 2nd T20I between India and Afghanistan took place at the Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. Earlier, India had also defeated Afghanistan in the first T20 match in Mohali.
