India’s left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav has picked five wickets in the third and final T20 International match between India and South Africa at the Wanderers on Thursday.

After the team won by a huge 106 runs to square the series at 1-1, Kuldeep Yadav stated, “It was a special day. I never thought that I will pick five wickets in this match. I simply wanted the team to win the match and I am happy to contribute to it.”

“I was a bit worried about my rhythm as I was bowling after a while. Today, the ball was leaving the hand nicely, the weather and pitch condition was also suitable for spinners,” he added while speaking to media during a press conference.

Kuldeep Yadav has played two T20Is and six ODIs in South Africa and took overall 23 wickets. Speaking further during the press conference, he said, “In South Africa, to be very honest, the wickets are very good for the spinners. The best thing about these wickets is that the balls comes very quickly after pitching.”

“So sometimes, you have to vary your variations and if you get it right then it becomes much difficult for batters to play. I am just focusing on the length of the pitch and my tricks. I just tried to give my best,” he said additionally.
