IPL 2022 Auction: Shreyas Iyer sold to KKR for whooping Rs 12.25 Crore,Dhawan and Rabada to PBKS

The IPL 2022 Auction has officially begun in Bengaluru. Around 1214 players have been registered, of which 600 players will go under the hammer .

Shreyas Iyer was sold to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for a whopping Rs 12.25 crore after Shikhar Dhawan, Kagiso Rabada were sold to Punjab Kings for Rs 8.25 crore and 9.25 crore respectively at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction.

Teent Boult was picked up for Rs 8 crore by Rajasthan Royals while Pat Cummins went back to KKR for Rs 7.25 crore. David Warner was picked up by Delhi Capitals for Rs 6.25 crore.

Rajasthan Royals picked up Ravichandran Ashwin for a bargain buy of Rs 5 crore. Faf du Plessis went to RCB for Rs 7 crore. Mohammed Shami was sold to Gujarat Titans for Rs 6.25 crore.

The 15th edition of the tournament is likely to begin towards the end of March but before that, this auction will decide how the teams pan out for the next few seasons.

Two new teams (Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants) have joined the existing eight franchises Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Rajasthan Royals.
