Australia made 276 runs in the first innings, loosing all the wickets. David Warner showcased his prowess, amassing the highest runs with an impressive 52 in 53 balls.
Mohammed Shami emerged as the star performer for India, clinching a five-wicket haul while conceding 51 runs in his 10 overs. Jasprit Bumrah, R Ashwin, and Ravindra Jadeja chipped in with one wicket each, contributing to India’s efforts.
Earlier, India won the toss and chose to bowl first against Australia. This three-match series, also scheduled for games in Indore and Rajkot, stands as a crucial platform for both teams to assess and refine their bench strength and strategies, especially on Indian pitches.
