Asian Games: India win Gold in Men’s 50m Rifle 3P Team, Silver in Women’s 10m Air Pistol

India made their mark on the 6th day of Asian games, clinching a gold and silver medal in 50m rifle 3 positions team and 10m air pistol.

Hangzhou: In an outstanding display of skill and teamwork, the Indian shooting team made their mark on the 6th day of Asian games, clinching a gold and silver medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions team and 10m air pistol in the women’s team event.

The trio of Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Swapnil Kusale, and Akhil Sheoran secured a gold medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions team event. Not only did they claim the top spot, but they also set a remarkable new world record.

The Indian shooters achieved a remarkable total score of 1769 points, surpassing the previous world record of 1761 points held by the United States.

The success for Indian shooters didn’t stop there.

In the women’s 10m air pistol team event, the Indian trio of Esha Singh, Palak, and Divya Thadigol Subbaraju secured the silver medal.

Although they narrowly missed out on gold, their performance was nothing short of outstanding. India accumulated a total of 1731 points, finishing just five points behind China, who claimed the gold with a new Games Record of 1736 points.

These remarkable achievements have elevated India’s total medal tally at the Asian Games to 27 medals, consisting of 7 golds, 9 silvers, and 11 bronzes. India currently stands in 5th place in the overall medal tally at the Asian Games.
