Aparajita Gochhikar to represent as Coach of Indian Team in World Cadet Chess Championship  

Bhubaneswar: It is a matter of great pride for the entire Odisha that Aparajita Gochhikar, Candidate Master (CM) and Fide Instructor (FI) of KIIT University, has been nominated by All India Chess Federation(AICF) to represent as Coach of Indian Team in World Cadet Chess(B & G) Championship 2018.

The tournament is slated to be held at Santiago de Compostela, Spain from 3rd to 16th November 2018.

The Competition is the World Championship for U-8, U-10 and U-12 age category for both boys and girls.

Total 23 players across India are representing in the said event whereas she is the only one from Odisha to represent India.

As the Youngest coach of India to represent in Indian Chess Team, previously she has also represented as coach of India team in Asian Youth Chess Championship 2017 held at Tashkent, Uzbekistan from 1st -10th April 2018.

Recently, Aparajita, who is working as Manager-Administration in KIIT, represented as Head of Delegation cum coach of Indian Universities Chess Team in World University Chess Championship 2018 held at Aracaju, Brazil from 12th to 22nd September 2018.

Meanwhile, Prof Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS & MP, Rajyasabha congratulated Aparajita and wished good luck to the India Team for all success in World Cadet Chess Championship.
