Straight out of fairytale! Breathtaking views of snow-covered stations shared by Indian Railways stuns netizens; Watch video

The winter season is ongoing and many places in India have been receiving snowfall in Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Many people from Srinagar’s Dal Lake to Manali in Himachal Pradesh have shared mesmerizing pictures of the snow-covered landscapes, houses, and towns on social media.

The breath-taking views of these views looks like a scene out of a fairy tale. People are taking solace in views of snow-covered towns, mountains and other places during this ongoing third wave of Covid-19 pandemic.

The India Railways has also shared mesmerising photographs and videos of train stations on micro-blogging platform Twitter, which has gone viral on the internet.

The India Railways posted a video of a snow covered train entering the snow-covered Sadura Railway Station at Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir with the caption, “The breathtaking view of the snow clad train entering snow covered Sadura Railway Station at Baramulla – Banihal section.”

The ministry also shared another video of the picturesque Kalka-Shimla rail route, showing a toy train passing through a tunnel.

While sharing the video the Ministry wrote, A breathtaking view of the world famous Kalka-Shimla rail route. The special passenger toy train passing through tunnel number 91 near Taradevi station on the UNESCO-declared heritage ‘Kalka-Shimla’ route remains the center of attraction for the tourists.

The photos and videos of the snow-covered stations has enamored netizens. Many social media users expressed that it looks like a scene straight out of a fairytal, the Indian Railways also shared a video of how it maintains its tracks in severe weather.

Raosaheb Patil Danve, Union Minister of State for Railways, also shared a video of a snow cutter clearing snow-covered tracks in Banihal to ensure train services are not affected and rail passengers can have smooth movement.

The videos are going viral on the social media platforms, Many commented that it was hard to believe the clips are from India and said it looks like a country from Europe.

One another commented: “This is a heavenly experience”.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday warned people about a return of cold wave condition across North India as various mountain regions received fresh snowfall.
