Puri: Close on the heels of the Srimandir interior picture viral incidents, a youth stirred controversy today by posting photos of the Sakhigopal temple’s sanctum sanctorum on his social media account.
The accused identified as Basudevvguddu Swain and a student of SCS College, as per his facebook account posted pictures featuring Lord Gopalajiu in ‘Natabara Besha’. Lord Goapalajiu dons the attire only during ‘Anla Nabami’.
However, it is still not clear how Swain managed to take the photographs on the auspicious day on ‘Anla Nabami’ on which the temple had been put under tough security cover for ‘Radha Pada Darshan’ ritual.
Meanwhile, a group of servitors of the Sakhigopal temple have lodged a complaint in Satyabadi Police Station in connection with the case as photography is strictly prohibited inside its premises.
Notably, a few days back a Gujarati tourist created ripples in the state by posting a number of interior pictures of the Puri Sri Jagannath Temple. Earlier, a woman from Bengaluru also came up with a few photos clicked inside Srimandir on her social media account.
