Youth beaten to death with cricket bat in Odisha’s Subarnapur dist

Sonepur: In a shocking incident a youth was allegedly beaten to death with cricket bat in Subarnapur district of Odisha on Saturday. The incident took place in Menda village under Tarbha block of the district.
The deceased has been identified as Santosh Hati of Menda village.
As per reports, today afternoon a verbal spat erupted between Santosh and another person near the Khari Pond in Kumbharpada area near Charichhaka of Menda. Later, the spat took an ugly turn and the accused allegedly thrashed the deceased with a cricket bat. As a result the Santosh was killed on the spot.
After getting information, Police reached the spot and seized the body. A police probe has been initiated. However, by the time this report was written, no arrest had been made in this matter.
