World-famous Dhanu Jatra concludes with Kansa Badha by Lord Krishna in Bargarh

The world-famous “Dhanu Jatra” has come to an end with the Kansa Badha by Lord Krishna in Odisha’s Bargarh district.

Bargarh: The world-famous “Dhanu Jatra” has come to an end for this year with the Kansa Badha by Lord Krishna in Odisha’s Bargarh district.

The 76th Dhanu Jatra had begun on January 15 and continued for 11 days. The largest open-air theatre concluded on January 25, i.e., on Thursday.

The entire Bargarh city was decked up as Mathura while nearby Ambapali village turned up as mythological Gopapura for the drama-based open-air theatrical performance.

Thousands of people from different parts of the State and even the country flocked to Bargarh Town to witness the annual festival, which depicts the story of Lord Krishna’s victory over the evil king Kansa.
