Cuttack: Actress Varsha Priyadarshini moved to Orissa High Court in Cuttack on Friday.
Reportedly, Varsha has sought orders to stop ‘fake and hate campaigns’ against her on social media.
She has made her husband Anubhav Mohanty, Central Government, and the Information & Broadcasting Ministry parties in her petition.
On the basis of Varsha’s petition, a case under IPC Section 509 and IT Act has been registered.
It is pertinent to mention that Varsha Priyadarshini had filed a complaint with Cyber Police in Cuttack on Wednesday accusing some persons of conspiring against her to defame her on social media.
Varsha had further demanded strict action against the accused persons. The Cyber Police has registered a case under Section 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 67 of the Information Technology (IT) Act based on the police Varsha’s complaint.
