Twin City Covid 19 Update: Bhubaneswar reports 185 positive cases, Cuttack reports 70 cases today

Bhubaneswar: As on July 11, 2022 the Covid-19 cases in BMC and CMC continues to be a major concern for the administration. The capital city of Odisha has recorded 203 positive cases today. On the other hand, Cuttack city reported 34 positive cases.

According to reports by Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), 203 positive cases that were reported today were local contact cases.

With today’s development, the total Covid-19 positive cases have increased to 1,59,061. The recovered cases are 1,56,997. The total deceased cases are 1193. At present, the active Covid-19 cases in Bhubaneswar stand at 850. The recovered cases in BMC in the last 24 hours are 198.

Similarly, 34 new Covid19 cases were reported in the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) area. 18 cases were local contact cases while 14 cases were from home quarantine. 3 cases in the city are Institutional Quarantine cases. The total cases in CMC have reached 56,522. The active cases are 261 while the total number of deaths is 429. The recovered cases in 24 hours are 31.

Odisha on Monday continued to record above 500 Covid positives for the third consecutive day in different districts of the State in the last 24 hours.

According to the data shared by the Information & Public Relations Department, as many as 572 new positives were reported in 25 districts and the State Pool. A total of 576 persons were infected with the virus on Sunday.

There are 69 children in the 0-18 age group. Out of the total 572 cases, 336 are quarantine cases while the rest 236 are local contacts. Currently, there are 3360 active cases in the State.
